Hey TM I think both you and Gersh got it right

I got sell signals on the MACD of both the $OEX and $SPX as well as high(cresting) stoch.

This period reminds me of last July or so where even "good" earnings from MSFT and other big players couldn't get the market excited.

"Good" news gets nothing more than a short temporary knee jerk pop.

Looks like AG is "throwing the baby out with the bath water".

That is, he is succeeding in slowing the economy(see retail) but not putting the brakes on his boogeyman inflation(see core PPI, the effect of which will show in the CPI Wednesday IMHO).

PS Looks like I missed the 3 for 2 stock split announcement
on my HLIT :-(((. Seriously tho, apparently the CEO mumbled something at a conference and those in the front rows started selling before those of us in the back(figuratively) got the message. Outta be law.
Actually, after looking at it it may just be a buying opp. Now 75% cash and probably shoulda been 100% the way I've picked em lately.
