The "three minute" rule I believe needs to be changed to the "3 hour" rule or maybe 3 minutes . . . . I believe that with the instantaneous communications and everybody doing stuff at the same time there is a tendency to overshoot going up and down since there are imbalances in buyers/sellers. Once the bottom has been reached in a heavily shorted stock and the stock even looks like it is going up, the short sellers bail out and the stock shoots up.

Jeez swisstrader, wish that 'old trader rule' had been thumb tacked to my forehead before I clicked the mouse button last Friday--guess two days doesn't count, eh?
