sig - re:"So how is it that Dell has $7 bil in the kitty"
Best managed company in the industry? excellent focus on where to put resources to maximize revenue and profit? Great corporate culture that rewards achievement and weeds out deadwood? Tight management focus on doing what they do well and not getting distracted? All the reasons I think DELL is a good component of any tech portfolio. I have yet to see them make a major management error.

The fact that DELL is facing some of the inevitable realities of "growing up" does not mean they are not still a very solid investment - probably more so now than any time in the last 18 months. While I don't plan on adding to my DELL position, I am very comfortable with my current holding, which is about 10% of my portfolio.
