CNBC reports that there is a Frost Securities research note that explains the drop in AMCC shares yesterday. It relates to an interpretation of Roth's comments at a luncheon about the OC-192 business.

The interpretation was that AMCC wasn't going to get that business was made from a statement summarized or similiar to the following:

"There is no clear cut leader in the OC-192 business from NT's perspective".

It seems that a few people interpreted that AMCC was not in the running for this business at NT. In fact, that's not true and Frost and Merrill are out in defense of the stock.

If anyone can get the Frost report on AMCC, it would be nice to see.

Steve

while admitting Nortel business is slow for the quarter and yet ML raised seq growth from 20% to 24%, doesn't make logical sense. long term prospectus fine, but it appears the analysts is playing a little numberings here.
