Steve,
You should take a very good look at the top portion of jim_p's list. Most of those companies are on the small side and I think if you weed out the questionable companies based on high debt or poor management you will be left with high risk vs high reward companies.

Just my 2 cents and a good place to start.
Michael

OK here are some of my picks:

PKD, Trading well lots of big blocks lately, anything under 6 is a steal.

ROYL Very illiquid, but CEO is desperately trying to get attention to stock based on last press release. However no interest yet. Hasn't moved at all with the increase of NG like the other small caps, hell it hardly even trades. Caveat any trade over 1,000 shares will move this stock so might be a risk of "10". However I like it and think there is an easy point out of this one.

CRZO has been running like a scolded dog lately, if it dips below 5 on no news...Buy it.

PETD is interesting, strong balance sheet, just doesn't move much. There is a shareholder revolt going on yahoo which may shake things up a bit. May be worth a look.

My favorite right now is UCL, not that risky to me I'd say a "5". Percentage wise doesn't move much, but I am betting this one gets religion in the not too distant future. I have broken my rules and now have about 28% of my port in UCL. Don't like to go over 20% on any stock.

Good Luck,

Rory
