Re: "taking a $200 billion charge against Bill Gates' stubborness, and my suggesting that he was not even in the good programmers league (let alone an all-star),"

You forget to mention the almost one trillion dollars his "stubborness" had achieved?

WOW! can you imagine what his achievements would have been had he your programming prowess?

Rod - I don't feel bad - a little embarrassed for you, though, since you are the one who introduces these non sequitor lines of conversation. Do you actually read your "direct, emphatic responses" to see why people might include some of the detail you wonder about? I'm not going to quote your own posts...

You are the one who seems to be displaying arrogance here, and as far as I can tell, without having first developed any notion of who you are or whether there is any substance to your remarks. Your profile gives us no clue as to your age, background or credentials, and you have also neglected to provide any of that detail to those on the thread such as myself who would like to understand the basis of your remarks.

If you don't want to talk about what was happening 20 years ago, you shouldn't start the discussion. You DO remember starting that discussion, I presume?
