Chic, criticism, constructive or otherwise, is one thing, but, if someone dropped in from Mars and started reading these threads, he'd think Intel is headed for chapter 11. I went to the Intel stockholders' meeting, and Intel, while looking sheepish over the MTH screwup, was still very bullish about 2H00 and beyond.

Let's say in two years, the microprocessor market flattens out a little bit (no data, just raising a possibility). If that were to happen, I like Intel's chances of continued growth a lot better with their 50% per year growth in comm products, Foster and derivatives for mid range severs, and IA-64 for high end, than I do AMD's. AMD even sold off a comm products division to feed their one product habit. Like it or not, that's all AMD is, in my mind, a one product company.
