I had an interesting insight into girl-kitty sex this weekend, I think. Mama cat and kittens have taken up comfortable residence in the house, and she scares the bejeezus out of Eleanor, Oliver and Fuzzie. Oliver and Fuzzie come inside to eat, but they give Mama a wide berth, perch high up in spaces that are easy to defend. Eleanor won't even come inside, we have to feed her outside. Sunday Chris caught Eleanor and brought her into my room and put her on my bed, and was petting her. She kept making gutteral growls, rrrrr-yowl-rrrrr-yowl, and had her ears flat against her head, but when he stroked her back, she lifted her butt up anyway. Sounded and looked exactly like girl kitties do when receiving the attention of boy kitties. I told her "your lips say no-no, but your butt says yes-yes." She gave me a dirty look, and kept growling and lifting her butt.
