This is very similar to my situation. I have a rather large (my largest) holding of SUNW for close to 5 years during which time if have seen a huge price appreciation. I have taken a piece of the position though and bought into EMC and CSCO.

JCCaros: Fine post. And these's much to be said about putting all your egg(s)in one basket and watching that basket carefully. That's not my style...but we all tend to adopt the style that is comfortable to us, tends to reflect our personality...and hopefully provides profits. Clearly you've done it. One note though...you say that "traders on this thread are never here very long"...there you go using the "never" word again. Your observation about traders not being on this thread very long is simply...and I can't put it any other way...Grossly Inaccurate. Some traders leave because it doesn't fit their needs...some leave because they go out of business, some die, some retire, some find a Lady Kate and head for a year or two in the Caribbean. I don't know, you certainly don't know. On any thread there's a normal amount of attrition...but Market Gems didn't get to be the best thread on SI because traders abandoned ship en masse. I'll give you what you deserve regarding your great SUNW success. But JC, as my trading buddy Dortmunder would say in that clipped British accent of his..."it's really bad form to denigrate those who do not share one's views...especially when those views "could" be interpreted as braggidacio... and when one is welcomed guest in their home. It badly violates the guest-host relationship." To which I shall add, simply, "Quite."
