Have you read Darwin Among the Machines? If you haven't make sure you pick it up- I think you would love it. See, why that relates is, I think SI has evolved an intelligence of it's own and it is angry at the Dryers for selling out. Hence all the problems since they've gone away. It's machine revenge. Though not terribly well thought out or effective. Do you like my theory?
