In the beginning nothing it slowed things but when demand returned to the equation inflation really took off.
Eventually the FED had to raise rates. Sound familiar? Lets hope the FED doesn't have to wait for another Volker.

That's easy, sir, since the oil price went up, so did inflation, so the FED increased interest rates to combat the OIL price tax hike. & the CONGRESS decided to buy oil to pump into the ground.
