You are of course wrong but I suspect you know that. It seems you delibrately exagerate to the rediculas, other people's points of view to somehow qualify your own. Oh well.

A more resonable interpretation of what I am saying is that anybody bad enough to go to jail has done something bad enough to experience a negative unfrosted consequence for it. And yes there is nothing you can do about it until you first recognize that redemption begins within the person who is SEEKING redemption not in the giver of redemption. You have good ideas you just put the cart before the horse that's all.

There is no affirmative obligation to rehabilitate. In fact, the argument is that execution is a just response to certain crimes, and therefore, an effort at rehabilitation would be an act of mercy. The question is, then, why bother when the crime has been particularly heinous?
