Richard:
Thanks again for the valuable instruction. Since the Fed will make it's decision about the same time as the GRT ex-div and should be favorable, I think that this cycle is just going to be tremendous. It continues to look strong today with all trades so far at the ask. I haven't seen that very often.

Richard/Thread-Moving to prfds after common run up??
I've appreciated all the insights on REITs and my timing was good when I started following this sector in late 99 however I've sold almost all of my common at good gains (except for some GLB and HRP(I've loaded up on this one on the way down)) and thinking prfds are the logical place to keep my IRA $ for a while. I noticed WRENs post # 1878 re prfds and would appreciate some other ideas. TIA Bob

Upon reflection I probably shouldn't have sold the common of ASN, CEI, EQR, GLB(most of it), NHP, PLD, and SCZ but between the dividends and the price appreciation the % gain was great but I felt that it might not continue. Naturally it probably will and good luck to those of you who are still holding.

(re: GTA) What? I can buy one of these REITs right after Richard and at a better price than he paid?? That's unusual. Okay then... I will go for some GTA too.
