I hope y9ou and everyone got their ducks in a row cuz it is time for liftoff.

small bg summary-nytimes article re clinton and blair making announcement for hgp mandates preemptive action by celera.

abcnews.go.com

let me just add my thoughts. i think venter is using clinton, although clinton and public funded orgs have mroe to gain. normsally gov can mandate, such as in case of microsoft say give me donation to my party or we shut you down. This showq that gov can shut down science. not gov in public interest. but in dis case, celera is trying to shut gov(hgp) down. how they do dat? hurt them bad. real bad. you see. i for one count on at least gene count. umm, what i mean is celera not giving in to hgp by delaying announcement for sake of allowing clinton et al to look good when they make their wstatement. but by making them bad with their stupendous announcements that will immediately follow. finally, venter is a real man. not like some wimpish scott mcnealy from sun. that guy is sickening.
