Here's another interview with Eli on the Telecomm Analyst:

thetelecommanalyst.com

He rates Toshiba as their no. 1 competitor, Hitachi no. 2.

Ausdauer,

You wrote,:

"Finally, SSTI is paying for the card assembly/controller license for CompactFlash. Thus they pay a double royalty to SanDisk as the flash chips they purchase are undoubted from Hitachi or Samsung, both of which are SanDisk licensees"

I for one have a doubt.

I once asked Alan Siebel, "Who is beholden to whom? SSTI to SNDK or SNDK to SSTI?"

I never got an answer, but I would like to be Reminded by company sources who holds the upper hand in this relationship.

Please document and help remove my doubts. I hope its not just gut feelings that are making both of us feel the way we do about this relationship between SSTI and SNDK.

P.S. I am P-O'd that Breaking Away was not listed in the top 100 comedies of all time.

Aus, I may be wrong but I remember something about SNDK licensing some controller IP from SSTI many months back. Does this ring a bell?
