amein....not sure of how your broker works, but any premiums i obtain are very accessible, to the amount that i begin to exceed margin debt....

in the examples that i gave....$1m cash, 50 qcom0220 contracts, +600k premiums.....i can take the 600k and withdrawal from my account, and not upset the balance of my positions/margin. this is the purity of using cash to back any short positions. if i were to go long 5000 shares at 80...i still can remove the balance without margin concerns, as the common is fully paid for....i believe you can begin to see similarities in long common/ditm put sale....the put will mimic the common, but you are earning interest on the cash.....
