>> Do you pay any attention to environmentally-oriented companies/industries?

I do, but not for investment. There are very few public companies in the environmental field. And generally they are construction / engineering companies. Actually most large projects are environmentally destructive, anyway. and the whole field is usually mired in litigation.

One reason the public is more accommodating to environmental protection is that fewer people are directly employed in polluting industries. So if they lose their jobs, not as many people sympathize. Besides, the US continuously exports more and more of the mining and chemical commodities work to countries with lax regulations.

Agreed. But the stock has a bleak future. The romance phase for AMZN is over. They will be valued on mundane stuff like earnings and sales growth from now on.
I still say $30 by 12/31/2000

>One is Astropower. I can't say it is undervalued today, but it may very well prove to have been looking back from 2005
Randy, I also like Astropower (apwr). I bought some at the end of May, thanks to you.
I also finally bought back into MP3 as soon as I heard of their settlement with the monopolies.
Btw
You didn't sell any Amzn at the peak of the last Xmas rush?
