Elmer, You and your buddy had many opportunities to present data and all he could come up with was an old German language website with old Katmai benchmarks. I think you presented good data yourself: amd.com I didn't feel a need to top it. Ok, you want data, how about this: amd.com Your favorite company loses and you are suffering from sour grapes. Maybe that's how you operate. I don't. I have never seriously claimed that Athlon classic was a better CPU than Coppermine. (Except maybe when I was joking with Paul Engel) Clock for clock (when Coppermine has the clocks), Coppermine wins. In fact, I have bought 2 Coppermine CPUs, and no classic Athlons. But Thunderbird changes the equation. It is on balance a better CPU than Coppermine. No sour grapes here. Joe
