Restoring the lives of murder victims is not, unfortunately, within the capacity of the judicial system. Killing the murderers accomplishes nothing but gratifying our thirst for revenge, and raises the possibility that an innocent may be executed.

I know it feels good, but until someone presents a practical reason for continuing the practice that I feel outweighs the risk of error, I will oppose it.
