The Register is talking about Q1/01 for any DDR production syytems.

There will NEVER be a DDR desktop production. DDR is a convoluted, expensive and unstable platform, right now it's stuck in the proto type config test stage. Not even beta testing yet. This is why intel has invested a billion dollars to get rambus going.

Also, AMD will NEVER go to DDR. There is slim to none business case for it. Why should they, intel has built a free rambus industry for them to use NOW.
