The Fud is that the only headline being reported is the G* "demise could cut $.10 from 2001 EPS."

Conveniently not picked up by briefing.com is that Qualcomm remains committed and confident in the G* system.

It is being spun and will be even more, as soon as CNBC picks it up, that "Globalstar's troubles could impact Qualcomm by as much as ten cents from next year's earnings. This is yet another blow to QCOM which has seen its shares tumble by....blah blah China....blah blah Korea....(insert Cabi or Snyder comment)....back to you Ron.

Probably an analyst comment or six tomorrow, all of them emphasizing caution.

And why? Because, when pressed to answer a question regarding a set of circumstances they (QCOM) do not believe to be occurring, they offered an answer.

That's a fud. All about measuring the megatonnage at this point. Maybe small, maybe not....

And do you happen to know if he's talking about qcom's growth or gstrf?

I believe he was talking about G* getting off to a slower than expected (or desired) start. What I am confident we will see when the Q3-00 numbers are reported is that QCOM's growth is accelerating. (I'll book mark your message and get back to you after Q3 numbers are reported.)
