it should...you're just using your old CD drive to install the SW to your new PC's HD'rives right??

Once you swap the drives, yes...install the SW that came with the OLD CD, cdRW or what ever type drive it is. But win2000 might (SHOULD) have drivers for it already so you may not have to do that.
