I love that GRC's site, use it all the time to test stuff...i get stealth mode on all machines!!!! ..even the proxy machine, when I use Sybergate stuffs in full firewall mode. very slick...

Yeah, Scott or Peter or someone mentioned that fellow several months ago. As I recall, my Mac and my son's machine are virtually invisible. My had an opening, but it wasn't serious and it was something I could not protect because of one reason or another....don't recall exactly. That machine is out of service at the moment, offline. I'll have to test the new one, but I suspect it shall have the same flaw for the same reason. The 4th and 5th machines we never tested. They are up only "on demand" and so aren't "Open" most of the time. The ones hanging off cable seemed more important to check. I'm out of here. I don't want to watch the kid rip this new machine apart.....the sight of flowing electricity makes me quesy.
