QCOM

Extract from a pundit's analysis about QCOM:

Qualcomm (QCOM -10.88) gave back a week's worth of gains after the Company's CFO said that the failure of Globalstar (GSTRF) could negatively impact QCOM earnings by 10 cents per share. You see, GSTRF is the only remaining satellite phone company and they appear to be headed for the stock graveyard to join Iridium.
GSTRF has a $500 million loan from BofA that is unlikely to be renewed. That means that QCOM will either have to step up with more money or let GSTRF die. Given Iridium's fate, QCOM may have to just cut their losses. (My comment: Duh!)
