Right on both counts.

The trivia about Marvin Gaye is something that comes up every couple weeks on local R&B shows, his having been a local talent who started singing in church choirs and got his big break when Harvey Fuqua signed his group to become the new version of the Moonglows.

And speaking of R&B, that radio show I mentioned a couple weeks ago - the one likely to play Irma Thomas's version of "Time is on My Side" - does broadcast on the web Sunday nights starting at 10. oldies100.com ...an annoyingly slow-loading site.

And a challenge for your Irish relatives (if no one else recognizes this tune)

-- - ----- ------ -------
It's like purple splashed with green
My soul is strangely fed
through the winding hills ahead
And she plays a melody
On wind and streams for me

Won't you remember
Won't you remember
Won't you remember me
Won't you remember
Won't you remember
Won't you remember me
