The reason why a third political party (call it the Constitutional Party, Freedom Party, Liberty Party, whatever) cannot become viable is because people buy into the "A vote for them is a wasted vote" bromide. Because so many buy into it, it makes it a fact. My personal bottom line is that BOTH major parties are basically going the same direction -- one just a little faster than the other. Both are parties of powerseekers and opportunists and both have lost the true meaning of liberty and individual rights. If one votes for the lesser of two evils one is still voting for an evil.
