Art,

If Kodak wanted to have an important stake in digital, it would use some of its cash horde to buy into SNDK, which IMHO is a great deal more depressed than EK stock.

Kodak buying SanDisk is an interesting idea. I imagine if that were to happen, Kodak stock would go up, as their perception as a slow growth company would change.

Never come to pass, but an interesting speculation.

John

Art, SanDisk owes some of its success to the visionary at Kodak who designed in the first CompactFlash slot many years ago...

...before anyone knew what digital photography had to offer.

Why they never took an interest in owning a piece of SanDisk is beyond me. As you have pointed out previously the non-visionaries seem to greatly outnumber the visionaries at EK currently.

Perhaps Seagate would have done well to sell a portion of its interest in SanDisk directly to EK and spared us the roller coaster ride we have experienced.
