Hi Mike:

A few corrections on your list of MMDS/LMDS equipment
suppliers. First, scratch VSAT-- it makes military
radios (for MIDS or Link 16), but the specs and costs
are very different from civilian equipment. Then, I would
add NT and DMIC. NT is the LMDS equipment provider for
TGNT. DMIC makes primarily high-rate point to point radios,
but it has also an interest in Ensemble Communications,
which will soon come out with an interesting LMDS system.

I am not exactly sure I would rank ALA/NN as the
``market leaders.'' In canada, certainly, but I
do not recall that they won any US contract yet.

Other players include also P-Com (in partnership
with Siemens) and Triton Systems (they make the
fast Ethernet radios used by ARTT for its
high capacity wireless rings).

Best regards,

Bernard Levy
