I say hypothetically we keep them because we have decided we are so fallible that we might have convicted brutal murderers unjustly. I call that compassionate and I assume you do not. Isn't this what started this discussion? Let me know if I'm wrong. My local newspaper had this on the front page. You and Steven keep saying that I advocate state murder, execution or killing, take your choice. I favor it but I've tried to find a compromise. I've made my point clear that if we don't have capital punishment we must satisfy the natural human emotion of revenge, whether or not anyone believes it's civilized(or unrefined), by addressing the damages to the victims. Thanks again to both of you for your stories. It's possible, maybe probable that you both have some unique viewpoint on this that only the experience itself can convey. Thanks for your views. I think I'll abandon the discussion.
