re:gas prices....
Spent the past four days on a trip to North Carolina from Northern Virginia, where I've gotten used to paying $1.76 or so for premium gas for my 8-cylinder behemoth of a car.

Paid the least for gas ($1.51) in southern VA. Paid $1.60 to $1.71 in North Carolina. Thought I was getting a bargain, relatively speaking, in all those places, and I didn't even pull into the *discount-type* stations to fill up.

Those two-dollar-plus gas prices in the Midwest are outrageous.

Interesting article in today's IBD about who is to blame for that....IBD says the government's own policy is the culprit, but the government is trying to point fingers at others.
