Diamond H,

Did you not hear the confusion created by management on the Jan CC? Telling the world that cdma handset shipments would be less than the prior quarter due to: 1. a seasonal slowdown (post christmas), and 2. the fact that there will only be 2 months of handset sales recognized, due to the completed sale of the handset division to Kyocera, were both good and fine statements to make, however when every analyst asked the cfo to explain why handset sales were slowing, doesn't that tell you that the delivery of the message wasn't clear? (I've paraphrased here to clarify the points)

As for the other day, isn't it interesting to note that the cfo had sized the impact of a failure at Globalstar? And it's a bit disconcerting that he did not have a handle on the korean handset sales "slowdown" - in terms of 1. sizing the earnings impact and 2. at least explaining to the bear sterns "analyst" (read:set-up artist) that korean carriers have been extremely crafty at giving other marketing incentives to customers to move product, and were not as sensitive to handset buydowns anymore.

I appreciate management's skill at getting this company to where it is today, and i do believe it has a bright future, however, we are at the stage where the honeymoon's over and its time to deliver. Clarity with the analysts during conference calls, and during the occasional investment conference is paramount. Leaving people with unanswered questions, is normally not good for the stock.

by the way i happen to be a great timer. although i wouldnt even know how to buy a cd. and do people still have bank accounts? i havent had one for 10 years- they pay what 2% on deposits and charge for ever check you write-forgeddaboutit.
