I was talking about torture, as exercised by the state. It was ironic, if I need to spell it out for you I do not believe the good old days were so good. And looking back on primitive penal methodology and wishing to bring it back is not, imo, productive. I've actually heard people long for the lynch mob- and since a lynch mob is basically a very uncontrollable unpredictable democratic institution that can take your life away in an instant I cannot see why anyone would long for such a thing. But some do. No accounting for tastes. Mine are complex, and humane, and are focused on giving the most rights to the most people with doing harm to the fewest, balanced with compassion for people who do not have the ability to exercise their rights effectively. I have no idea what your logical system is or if you have one. You seem to be operating on a faith based system- which may have it's own internal logic for you but is not logical to me.
