Yes mozek. The people 'attacking' Microsoft are all dedicated followers of fashion. That's why they're there! --- Only a monopoly could get away with making that kind of dismissal and not have to worry about consequences. --- Regarding BBSs and Windows <bzzzt>. People didn't run BBSs under Windows because Windows SUCKED. Funny how SysOps had no problem feeding the OS/2 GUI after that became available. --- Re: QEMM, where do you think MS got Win 3.x memory management from? You think they came up with that themselves? --- This breakup stuff is SO not needed. I'm against it like so many of the MSFT shareholders. How many shareholders are aware that all that MS needed to do was to agree to publish full documentation? How many are aware that the level of M$ sham extends to not even doing that much to get to resolution? Microsoft needn't give up copyright. They merely need to avail the Windows source code (documentation) for reading, so that everyone is equally informed. Information is the enemy though, isn't it mozek? -JCJ

Mike - MSFT bought rights to use some QEMM technology at about the Win3.0 timeframe - the use of "shadow memory" and a few other tricks made the virtual machine architecture cleaner. This was a big benefit to quarterdesk at the time as it gave them some much needed cash, as I recall.
