Despit falling knife aversions, I did some buying today also. My choice was the Jan 2001 $40 calls. At about $27 they cost less than half the price of the stock (about 44%) and have just a $6 premium, or less than $1 per month. For that $6 there is the possibility of great percentage returns should QCOM rebound. (On a percentage basis the call outperforms the stock if the stock recovers to $72 or better. For example, at $120 the stock (currently $61) would show a 97% profit while the call would return 196%. At $150 the comparison would be 146% vs. 307%. Of course, at $40 the call becomes worthless and at $0 so does the stock. <g>)

The above assumes my math is correct, which may be the real long shot.
