Rob, I agree. The damage in the tech sector needs a longer
time to recover.

This is all well and good for staging a decent fall rally. (I know I need one. ;))

Did you guys ride the correction? I did, and got clobbered - but I was busy working and couldn't do anything, I didn't get out in time on some stocks like cmrc and I lost 50% of my gains in some cases. I figured you all here weathered the storm fine... well, in a sad way I feel a little better knowing there was more to preserving your gains than just sitting in front of cnbc... :-/

On the subject of market direction again...

One thing really worries me is that Fed puts a harder break
than necessary on our economy. We have already seen some
sign of slowdown in economy, which is good. But if Fed
takes a more aggressive stand and pushes us into a recession
territory, I expect both you and me, including many
members here, will see our portfolio taking a huge
loss if we stay in the market.

So far, we are just experiencing a severe market correction.
A recession will teach all of us what a bear market really
means:)
