tekgirl doesn't trust me with the cats, and I can't really stand in for her at the orthopedist's and the obstetrician's, now can I? She insisted that I wait for the phone people, so I had her parents come by to chauffeur her around to her various appointments... BTW, FWIW, third-trimester pregnant women with broken feet, sick cats, and no phones constitute the ultimate hermudgeons... ctb/A PS besides, I used my time productively in assembling a newly purchased changing table...
