How about a press release- stating that QCOM will meet or exceed estimates- and a clarification of the situation going forward with respect to G*, etc.

This would only address the present quarter, which is 85% over. There would still be uncertainty surrounding the Globalstar, Korean, and Chinese situations. Globalstar's success is impossible to predict. Thornley already said that it was too soon to assess the effect of losing handset subsidies in Korea. And, while CDMA in China appears all but certain in our eyes, there still remains a cloud of doubt on Wall Street, due to past contradictions, which no statement from Q management or announcement of licensing agreements, seems to be able to dissipate.

The earnings conference call is a month away, and should allow better visibility. Only then will some of the uncertainty be eliminated, in my opinion, short of some unexpected positive announcement. I do feel that the worst is behind us, however, as far as bad or manipulated news is concerned, so I'm praying we won't see the $50's.
