sorry I took sooo long to reply... Been on vacation :) Re hidden ISLD orders vs. SNET Broadcasts - well, market makers are in no way required to respond to broadcasts; in fact what you are doing with a broadcast order is tipping your hand and showing all the market makers all your cards, and not even requiring them to respond!! No upside there, unless you really feel guilty about taking money out of those poor struggling market maker hands! And with regards to ARCA refreshing orders, they're good. What is it, about a hundred million shares trade on ARCA every month? Of course, on ISLD, they trade several BILLION shares a month... So, while all those ARCA functions are really cool, especially for position traders and the like, if you want to transact and transact NOW (if you are day-trading, as opposed to swing trading,position trading, etc), your chances are statisticaly (sic!?) improved by what - 10 or more times? I'll take those Hidden orders any day. Any day I want to get done quick, that is.
