LOL, not necessarily, if the rate hikes brought about a recession, they would presumably not help the dollar much. but then, currency movements have become a lot more inscrutable during the '90's. a prime example would be the yen in this regard.
shorting the dollar against the Fed may not be a bad idea actually, in view of the fact that it likes to print so much of it. were it not for foreign CB's trying to outprint the Fed at times...
