Broaddus obviously doesn't understand how the new era works. and your oil chart has been stood on its head by the BLS. considering that oil prices tripled in about one year, one wonders really what happened to ppi/cpi including energy. they never captured any energy price rises (PPI did, for a month or two). cpi also has failed as of yet to capture rises in rents, but has done a splendid job of capturing plunging turnip prices...<g> luckily for the bubble everybody knows this is just jawboning...a bit of bark, with zero bite. Al isn't called 'easy' for nothing. hb
