Mark,

You may have solved a mystery.

Only spoken in whispers after the midnight hour,
but there is a secret trap door inside a thread
here on SI that has a graph that plots the success
and less so of the good doctor Zeev's turnips.

Cycles have been observed over the years,
and yes each year there is a peak I heard,
but the explaination was not yet explained.

But might it be connected to the Maine Lobster season ?

Imagine if Zeev used the empty lobster shells
as fertilizer to help the turnips grow good.

Or might the actual lobster meat dipped deep
into a big bowl of melted butter be the reason,
as for sure Zeev would be eating food good enough
to rival any French cooking. Good bread might be
hard to obtain in Maine, but good wine is available.

Bet if one took a trip and looked at the lobster boats
going out and in, that one may have the name Good Turnips
painted on it.
