I just spoke to a very kind nurse. She told me this:

Edwarda is "critical." They "did a lot of procedures on her" today, and, she said, "we are watching over her now." She told me that the doctor feels that "the prognosis is poor," but she also said "there is hope." She said that Edwarda is sedated and comfortable. She is on IV antibiotics to counter any infection. I asked, "Do you mean like pneumonia?" and the nurse said yes.

That's all she could say.
