1. About Gums Friends told me to gargle with salt water and hydrogyn peroxide while I was away, rub calundula extract and hydrogyn peroxide on the gums too. I did. Wow, what a difference, my gums feel great. One of the people we visited while in Utah said that there was an article in the dental journals that there is a new way of treating "gum disease" (I do think that name is rather overdramatic, for my gums anyway, which do not look red, act sore, or bleed); put a tiny chip of some antiseptic solution between the tooth and the gum and voila! gums all better, teeth adhere again. Trouble is, I'm not sure how to find someone here who does it and haven't had any luck on the net so far. But my general practitioner agrees with you: he says he has seen too many complications from gum surgery and he feels the same way about it that I do about surgery in general=don't let anyone cut you voluntarily. So aside from what I'm doing described above, any other suggestion is welcome. 2. cars Right before I left for vacation I was stopped at a light and the person in front of me, pulling a boat, put his vehicle into reverse instead of forward and backed into me and then drove off. My precious 16 year old 340,000 miles on it Tercel could still drive but had a hood buckled and, as it turned out, the insurance company said it is not worth fixing (sob sob sob). So I guess I buy a new vehicle a year early. Anyone have suggestions on a reliable minivan, my next "baby"? 3. Stock market. Before I left, because I decided not to look at the market at all the whole two weeks, I sold stuff. Not everything, actually only about 20% but got almost completely out of margin and sold about a third of my Qcom at the 61 and 63 range (never thought I'd do that after not selling it at 150). I'll have cash when we collapse again but not sure what I want to pick up, maybe GLW we'll see. Anyone know what is the "next Qcom"? Love to all of you. You did miss me didn't you? Freeus P.S. I really did ignore the market for two weeks except for one little slip: in the middle I called and got quotes on two stocks Qcom which I sold some of as I said and Jaco which I used for a small profit and sold out of before I left.
