Benkea, a reverse mortgage is like dealing in futures plus a FV of a stream of cash.

Obviously the guy wants to make money.

I am not sure if it is not more profitable to sell the house and have a long term lease on it, and buy short term treasuries with the proceeds. This approach worked miracles in NYC in 1989, and I am sure it will now going forward.

I am trying to do that with my parents apartment but they are resisting the idea, as they do not trust "paper".
