U.S. Housing Starts Fell 3.9% in May to 1.592 Million Rate

Washington, June 16 (Bloomberg) -- U.S. housing starts fell in May to the lowest level in a year as new construction declined on single-family homes, government figures showed today.

Housing starts fell 3.9 percent last month to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 1.592 million units from a revised 1.656 million units in April, the Commerce Department said.
