Right you are, Wayne. But is he really doing anything to support Wall Street that the Republicans wouldn't do? The old fiscal conservatives who used to rule the GOP roost when we were kids have been swept away by a combination of radical religious kooks and opportunistic politicians like Shrub, who will support any cockamamie scheme put forward by Wall Street as long as it is accompanied by a large campaign contribution. Robert Taft, Nelson Rockefeller, Everett Dirkson, et al, would be appalled by the state of their party. /Kit
