More on meeting!!
1)Acqusitions again: Hindrey said that 75% of the money was going to the buildout and 25% to acquisitions. He felt this was in line with other telecom companies and was where we should be.
2)Cash flow:Hindrey said they had revenues of 4 billion and a cash flow of 1 billion. He said we would see a positive cash flow within 12 to 18 months. He said we now have connected 150 cities around the world and have 670 institutional customers. As he said, not bad for a 38 month old company. They are looking forward to concentrating their full attention to customers after the initial buildout.
3) General impressions: The whole meeting was tight as a drum. Winnick a forcefull character ( in a quite way )in orchestrating the show. There were fewer people than I expected. Maybey 150. Of those, 50 to 75 were with the company or board. They plus some financial comunity people, and there were not to many stockholders there. It was very respectfull in tone. No anger. A few pointed questions, but all polite. Winnick dissarmed me. I was looking for someone very slick, he was very down to Earth. In charge, but easy with his skin. The one that blew me away was Hindrey. He was like a Cray computer. He had every detail in his head. I never saw him look at a note or have anyone whisper in his ear. He was comfortable at all times. You could see that Winnick respected him and could count on the right response. Winnick passed the ball on almost every question, other than vision issues, to Hindrey. I am a tough customer and very cynical, but these two got me. They were obviously aware of the media comments about their insensitivity to sharholders. They were constantly refering to how deeply they felt their responsibilities to the shareholders vis a vis share price. It was brought home to me clearly, they see and hear every comment we do.They are watching and reading the same things we are. I never saw a slicker looking group of corporate execs than the board and company officers, other than Hindrey and Winnick. The rest of them are right out of GQ. There were Armani suits, Patek Philippes and Mont Blancs. I would bet the board alone had 2.5 million in watch's. I am very confident about the whole thing. I met the enemy and they are us........
Most lasting impression: A fifty foot table with Krispy Kremes from one end to the other.
I know i will remember more later.
Regards to all,
Brook

Thanks for the report!
On TYCO: Is Tyco still obliged to lay that cable? Or GBLX has withdrawn this job from them? This job can be done either by Tyco or Alcatel.
