There are a few instances in the Bible where it is recorded that God actually spoke to someone. This is very different from divine inspiration. I am surprised you don't understand the distinction. For example, in the book of Genesis, most of the early events could not have been recorded by a human witness. No human was present when the Universe was created, nor when the Solar System was created, and so forth. So the record we have is either divine inspiration, or someone's imagination. But there is no question that the Bible says that God told Abraham to sacrifice Isaac.
