QCOM downgrade was opportunities for the sector.

QCOM gets the same royalties whether its wide band cdma or cdma 2000.

Long term, it really doesn?t matter whether China goes with QCOM technology or not.

Between now and 2005 there will be $300B in contracts will be awarded with only $20B coming out of China.

Downgrading QCOM yesterday was a mistake since they get 5% royalties on 15% of the market.

In the new generation, whether wide band cdma or cdma 2000, QCOM will get 5% royalty on 80% of the market.

The companies that will benefit from cdma build out and pay royalties to QCOM are ERICY, NOK, MOT, LU, and NT
