X, it WAS late but the point I was trying to make was that a public defender ought to be better than no defender at all. Unless you're busted or have a beef that interests some group of social activists, the near universal legal advice is, "Let it go and get on with your life. You're right but it's not worth the cost of a remedy." I just hate that and I think there ought to be easier and cheaper options. I did not mean to say tough sh** re conviction of the innocent for any reason. M
